Franklin County Zoning

The primary activities of the Planning & Zoning Department includes

  • approval of Building Permits and Site Plans
  • working with the Planning Commission on Land Use changes
  • working with the Zoning Board of Adjustment on Variance and Conditional Use Permits
In order to get a building permit for a new structure, you need to get a septic system permit from the Environmental Health department.
