Home Care Aides provide a variety of services, including:
 

• Assistance with baths, shampoos, nail care, oral care, exercise and other personal cares

• Essential shopping for food, clothing, and personal care items

• Routine maintenance cleaning of the client's home

• Laundry assistance in or out of the home

• Assistance with meal planning and preparation

• Protective Care, which means supervising and working with children and adults when there is the potential for, or evidence of, neglect or abuse

• Respite and Child Care to provide relief of the primary caregiver

• Assistance with money management and budgeting

• Medical transportation when included in Care Plan and within the boundaries of Franklin County

• Case Management, a program of coordinated services specifically targeted to the frail elderly

• Chore Service, which is financial assistance to assist low income individuals with home maintenance chores

The Agency is under the auspices of the Franklin County Board of Health and the Franklin County Board of Supervisors. It is a non-profit organization with reimbursements made from Franklin County Public Health, Hospice/ Star Care of North Iowa, Mercy Home Care, private insurance, Veterans Affairs, Iowa Department of Public Health, Elderbridge Agency on Aging, Community Support Services, waivers, client fees, donations, and local tax money.
